Taiwan Expo provided a platform for establishing partnerships and developing economic and technological cooperation.

Resilient supply chains as the foundation of economic security

In his address, the Deputy Minister highlighted the growing importance of economic security and building resilient supply chains in the face of geopolitical tensions and disruptions to international trade. He stressed that Poland is ready to develop strategic economic and technological partnerships with like-minded partners, including Taiwan.

Europe needs strong and reliable partners. Poland is ready to build strategic economic and technological partnerships with our partners in the Indo-Pacific region. We are also ready to work closely with Taiwan to build resilient and democratic supply chains

– Deputy Minister Jaros noted.

TEEMA technology park and new investments in Poland

Investment by Taiwanese companies in Poland was an important topic of discussion. Of particular significance is the project to develop a technology park in Miękinia near Wrocław by the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA). The investment is intended to create a space for cooperation between Taiwanese investors, Polish companies, universities and research and development centres.

Another important element of the cooperation is the recently announced strategic partnership between Foxconn and ElectroMobility Poland concerning the development of a Polish electric car. Poland expects the project to provide an impetus for further involvement by Taiwanese investors in the development of modern industry in Poland.
