Poland's success at Expo 2025. One million visitors and three awards
14.10.2025
More than one million visitors, hundreds of business meetings and three international accolades - Poland successfully concluded its participation in World Expo 2025 in Osaka. For Polish entrepreneurs, it was a unique opportunity to expand into Asian markets and show the world that Poland is a country of innovation, quality and creativity.
From April to October 2025, the Poland Pavilion welcomed more than 1 million visitors. During this period, more than 100 events were held to promote the Polish economy, culture and technologies. The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) in Paris, which oversees the organisation of EXPO exhibitions, awarded Poland gold in the ‘Exhibition Design’ category for self-built pavilions of up to 1,500 sq m. The Polish exhibition also received two prestigious distinctions in the World Expolympics competition – silver for Best Exhibition / Display for the ‘Plantation of Ideas’ installation and bronze in the Best Medium Pavilion category.
Poland has once again proved that it knows how to combine tradition with modernity. Our presence in Osaka sent a clear message to the world: Polish companies are ready for global expansion. Poland concluded EXPO 2025 in Osaka having attracted record interest, won three international awards and – most importantly – created new opportunities for entrepreneurs. It was a showcase of the strength of the Polish economy and the creativity that is now our greatest calling card around the world
– emphasises Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Technology Michał Jaros.
Polish entrepreneurs on the global stage
Participation in EXPO was, above all, a platform for business. It was with entrepreneurs in mind that events including the Polish-Japanese Export Forum and Investment Forum were organised, bringing together more than 700 representatives of companies and institutions from both countries. These events provided a forum for discussions on cooperation in the agri-food, medical and pharmaceutical, cosmetics, green technology and IT/FinTech sectors.
EXPO in Osaka was more than just an exhibition for Polish entrepreneurs. Thanks to their presence in Japan, Polish companies gained the trust of partners in Asia, and I hope this will pay dividends for years to come
– Deputy Minister Michał Jaros concluded.
Polish companies were able to showcase their potential and achievements, innovative solutions and technologies, exchange experience with foreign partners and establish new business relationships.
‘Plantation of Ideas’ – a showcase of Polish innovation
At the heart of the Polish exhibition was the award-winning ‘Plantation of Ideas’ installation, presenting Polish technologies and research projects with global potential. It was there that visitors could see, among other things, the 3D Bionic Pancreas developed by Polbionica S.A., environmentally friendly hydrogen technologies, intelligent transport solutions and innovative natural cosmetics.
The ‘Plantation of Ideas’ showed the world that Polish innovations have not only scientific but also business value. The Polish economy is growing thanks to entrepreneurial, courageous and innovative people. At Expo, we showed that we can compete through quality and ingenuity. The success of the Poland Pavilion is the success of our entrepreneurs. Thanks to Expo, Polish technologies have gained global recognition
– says Deputy Minister Jaros.
Polish creativity in the heart of Japan
The Poland Pavilion was one of the most popular with visitors. Its wooden architecture, inspired by nature, and modern multimedia setting attracted visitors from around the world. The programme of events included presentations by companies and regions, as well as cultural performances, concerts and workshops, ensuring that Poland left a lasting impression on the Japanese as a modern, open and dynamic country.
Poland’s participation in EXPO 2025 was the result of cooperation between the government administration, development institutions and the business community. These joint efforts delivered tangible results – awareness of Brand Poland in Asia increased significantly, while Polish companies gained an opportunity to expand into one of the world’s most challenging, but also most promising, regions.
