Prime Minister Donald Tusk appoints the Future Council

11.02.2026

On 10 February this year, Prime Minister Donald Tusk appointed the Future Council, which will serve as an advisory body to the Prime Minister, preparing recommendations on measures and solutions to support Poland's further development. The Council will be chaired by Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domański.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk appoints the Council for the Future

What we are seeing today reinforces our conviction that Poland can be one of the best places in the world for economic development and innovation. We want to give every Polish woman and man a genuine opportunity to pursue their ambitions here, in Poland

– said Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the ceremony establishing the Future Council.

The Future Council includes representatives of the academic community, business and public institutions. Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domański will oversee the Council’s work. The Council’s objective is to make Poland a leader in key fields. In this way, our country is to become not only ambitious, modern and competitive, but also secure.

I am convinced that the Council will soon present solutions and tools that will enable the Polish economy to grow even faster, with technological sovereignty as one of the first key topics. We must make our economy resilient to external threats

– said Minister Andrzej Domański.

One of the Council’s tasks will be to identify new growth engines based on innovation, human capital and intellectual property. It will focus on shortening the path from research to product and on the commercialisation and scaling up of technologies in Poland.

Poland’s future and the country’s stable development now require acceleration – in the economy, business and science alike. They also require greater flexibility and modernisation in decision-making procedures.

Poland is now the world’s 20th-largest economy – a major success, but one that cannot be taken for granted. That is why we need to build new competitive advantages and succeed in the global race. We will build them in artificial intelligence, space technologies, dual-use technologies and biotechnology

– said Minister Domański.

The Future Council includes scientists, business representatives and experts in such fields as artificial intelligence, space technologies, biotechnology, financial technologies and dual-use applications (for both military and civilian purposes).
