The diplomats stressed the importance of bilateral relations and the need to sustain regular political dialogue between the two countries in the face of such global challenges as Russian aggression against Ukraine. Also prioritised were the role of international law and principles based on common values as well as territorial integrity of states.

The delegates emphasised the growing significance of commerce and the need to intensify their trade and investment cooperation, leveraging Poland’s and Panama’s potential.

Regular meetings of Poland’s and Panama’s deputy foreign ministers have taken place since 2016 when both countries signed the Memorandum of Understanding on establishing a mechanism of political consultations between their foreign ministries.
