Ceremony to award prizes and honourable mentions in 6th edition of Foreign Minister’s History Contest

In a ceremony held on 28 June 2023 in the Oporów Castle, Minister of Foreign Affairs Zbigniew Rau awarded, at the request of the Historical Diplomacy Council, prizes and honourable mentions for the following research and popular research works published in 2021:

The prize:

The ceremony was also attended by: First Deputy Governor of the Łódź Province Marcin Buchali, PhD, Chief Education Officer of the Łódź Province Waldemar Flajszer, as well as representatives of the Historical Diplomacy Council to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: Deputy President of the Institute of National Remembrance Professor Karol Polejowski as well as Director of the Museum of the Second World War and President of the International Auschwitz Council to the Prime Minister Professor Grzegorz Berendt. In his address, the head of Polish diplomacy stressed the great value of historical diplomacy for Poles, enabling us to cultivate the national identity based on the spirit of past, present and future generations. "Each year, I am increasingly satisfied that our history, tradition and identity continue to evoke scientific passion of historians all over the world", Minister Rau added.
