Crisis Management Centre

Crisis Management Centre:

  • ensures implementation of crisis management tasks resulting from the Act of 26 April 2007 on Crisis Management (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 122 and of 2024, item 834), excluding competences of other organizational units;
  • conducts 24/7 monitoring of the current international situation, as well as obtains, verifies, collects and processes information on crisis situations and events. Ensures 24/7 circulation of information and coordination in crisis situations within the Ministry, as well as with its diplomatic and consular missions and other public administration institutions;
  • cooperates with crisis management centers in the ministries of foreign affairs of EU and NATO member states;
  • in crisis situations, supports the crisis management team in the Ministry;
  • prepares information and analyses on threats assessment, and develops procedures and proposals for counteracting those threats;
  • conducts domestic and international cooperation on using new technologies in the analysis and processing of information;
  • monitors threats to the security of Polish citizens abroad and implements early warning procedures enabling timely preparation and action to reduce risk.
