Discussed during the meeting were ways to consolidate bilateral relations in political and economic terms as well as in the field of development cooperation. For 15 years now, Palestine has continued as one of the priority recipients of Poland's development assistance. Undersecretary of State Paweł Jabłoński put forward a proposal for a tax solidarity programme, stimulating much interest and readiness to cooperate from the Palestinian side.

The deputy foreign ministers also talked about cooperation in the framework of multilateral diplomacy, especially on issues that are on the agendas of the UN and the EU. Undersecretary of State Paweł Jabłoński observed that Poland attaches fundamental importance to compliance with international law. Deputy Minister Amal Jadou fully agreed with the Polish position, pointing out that the government in Ramallah takes an equally uncompromising stance on the matter. She also presented Palestinian assessments of the Middle East peace process and the political and security situation in the Middle East and North Africa.

Referring to the current international situation, Deputy Minister Paweł Jabłoński highlighted the regional and global consequences of Russia’s imperialistic aggression against Ukraine. He presented Poland’s position on the subject and measures taken by the authorities and society. Undersecretary of State Jabłoński noted that Poland currently hosts some 1.5 million Ukrainian war refugees.
