Deputy Foreign Minister Przydacz meets with Ecuador’s Deputy Minister of Human Mobility Luis Vayas Valdivieso

On 7 March, Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Przydacz met with Deputy Minister of Human Mobility of the Republic of Ecuador Luis Vayas Valdivieso. The purpose of the Ecuadorian representative’s visit to Poland is to coordinate the evacuation of Ecuador’s citizens to their home country.

The talks focused on the situation in Ukraine and the current state of Polish-Ecuadorian bilateral relations. Deputy Minister Valdivieso thanked Poland for helping Ecuadorians enter Poland’s territory from Ukraine, which is currently at war. The diplomat declared that the Republic of Ecuador would like to reopen its embassy in Poland after nearly eight years. The deputy ministers agreed on the need to hold bilateral political consultations, which last took place in Warsaw in 2016. They also expressed hope for further enhancement of bilateral political, economic, scientific, and cultural ties.
