10.03.2024

Deputy Minister Anna Radwan-Röhrenschef took part in an event titled the Consulate of Women in Gdynia, organised by the city’s Deputy Mayor Katarzyna Gruszecka-Spychała. One of the main topics under discussion concerned efforts to increase women’s participation in political and social life.

“There are still too few women in the Polish parliament and in individual ministries - and yet women are needed in politics, especially in diplomacy. Their experience, sensitivity, and ability to look to the future are indispensable,” said Deputy Minister Anna Radwan-Röhrenschef. She believes that as a result, often the voice of women is not heard enough and they are not sufficiently represented. However, the participants of the event noted that the situation is slowly changing, which can be seen in Poland and the rest of Europe.

The event was also attended by Deputy Minister of Justice Zuzanna Rudzińska-Bluszcz and Katarzyna Wierzbowska, Co-Founder and CEO of Sophia Health.
