Deputy Minister Arkadiusz Mularczyk meets with his Slovak counterpart

On 13 March, Arkadiusz Mularczyk met in Nowy Sącz with State Secretary Andrej Stančík of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic.

This was the first meeting of the two Deputy Ministers since the assumption of the office by Arkadiusz Mularczyk. It was also attended by the ambassadors of Poland and Slovakia, Krzysztof Strzałka and Andrea Elscheková-Matisová.

The agenda of the talks included bilateral relations, especially in the context of cross-border cooperation on infrastructural (road, rail and air links) and other matters, as well as security situation and support for Ukraine in countering Russian aggression. A special significance of neighbourly relations in this regard was emphasised. The meeting focused on the key issues concerning regional cooperation, including in the framework of the Visegrad Group, currently under the Slovak Presidency, and the Three Seas Initiative. Also discussed was regional security cooperation, including within the B9 and the OSCE.

Both Arkadiusz Mularczyk and Andrej Stančík reaffirmed willingness to continue to cooperate for the sake of energy security in Central Europe.

As part of the visit, the Deputy Ministers met with representatives of Polish local governments and businesses in Piwniczna-Zdrój and Muszyna.
