The Committee’s members discussed selected topics raised in this year’s report adopted by the International Law Commission. These included prevention and repression of piracy and armed robbery at sea, compensation for damage caused by internationally wrongful acts, and settlement of disputes involving international organisations.

Also, the Committee analysed the International Law Commission’s draft articles on the responsibility of states for internationally wrongful acts.

The Advisory Legal Committee’s opinion adopted at the meeting will be helpful in formulating Poland’s position to be presented in international fora.
