Deputy Minister Henryka Mościcka-Dendys meets Secretary General of Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs Joe Hackett

During today’s talks in Warsaw, the diplomats reiterated that security issues and support for embattled Ukraine are among priority areas of Polish-Irish cooperation.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss closer cooperation within the EU in the face of current geopolitical challenges. The Irish side expressed interest in the prorities of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU. The officials also spoke about the current intrnational agenda, including the developments in the Middle East. They shared experiences as regards cooperation with national communities abroad and agreed that it is necessary to intensify bilateral relations. Deputy Minister Mościcka-Dendys and Secretary General Hackett expressed readiness to maintain consultations between the two countries' foreign ministries.
