During the talks, Deputy Minister Marcin Przydacz expressed his hope for continued strengthening of both political and economic cooperation. “Infrastructural investments and energy should be a top priority,” he said. The deputy chief of Polish diplomacy recalled the main events of the now ending year marking the 100th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Poland and Japan.

In a meeting with Naoki Fujii, Vice-Minister for Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Deputy Minister Przydacz discussed the prospects of Polish-Japanese partnership in the construction of the Solidarity Transport Hub and the extension of Poland’s port infrastructure. The deputy head of the Polish MFA highlighted the growing potential of our country for operating traffic from Asia to Europe and encouraged Japanese companies to cooperate in this area.

During a meeting with Vice-Minister for Agriculture Yoshihiro Kawano, the Polish MFA undersecretary of state stressed the fact that Poland has for many years recorded positive trade balance in agri-food trade with Japan and that Polish research institutes are interested in cooperation with Japanese partners. “We look at Japan as an important partner in the context of cooperation in the agri-food sector. Poland attaches great importance to producing food that meets the highest international standards in safety and quality,” emphasised Deputy Minister Przydacz.
