Deputy Minister Marek Prawda attends Belvedere Forum
17.06.2025
Marek Prawda and Stephen Doughty, deputy foreign ministers of Poland and the United Kingdom, inaugurated the latest edition of the Belvedere Forum, hosted by the Polish Institute of International Affairs in Warsaw on 16-17 June.
This year’s meeting revolved around bilateral cooperation in security and defence in the context of a Polish–British Security and Defence Treaty in the making, whose signing had been announced by both countries’ prime ministers Donald Tusk and Keir Starmer this past January.
The Belvedere Forum brought together Polish and British experts from think tanks, academia, industry, and the government. It featured discussion panels which focused on security, broadly understood, covering such topics as international order or economic and energy security.
