On the eve of the event’s official opening, Deputy Minister Wawrzyk accompanied President Andrzej Duda on his visit to the exhibition grounds and joined Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak when he endorsed a contract between the Armament Agency and the Huta Stalowa Wola S.A., a Polish producer of military equipment, to purchase two Regina division fire modules comprising 48 self-propelled Krab howitzers.

While at the MSPO in Kielce, Deputy Minister Wawrzyk spoke with representatives of Poland’s defence industry, encouraging them to boost measures in foreign markets and reassuring Polish entities that they have full support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in this respect. The secretary of state also had an opportunity to learn about the offer of foreign companies that have engaged actively in the upgrading of the Polish Armed Forces. The purchase of weapons and military equipment for the Polish army and the reinforcement of Polish defence industry in its production capacity have both gained special significance in the face of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
