Deputy Minister Szynkowski vel Sęk holds consultations in Slovenia

"We welcome Slovenia's active role in the Berlin Process, which is one of Poland's foreign policy priorities," the deputy chief of Polish diplomacy said in Ljubljana, where he met with his Slovenian counterpart Dobran Božič.

An important part‎ of efforts to develop bilateral dialogue, the talks confirmed the very good state of Polish-Slovenian relations. The deputy foreign ministers focused on current issues on the EU agenda which are important to both sides. The officials also covered major topics related to bilateral relations and regional cooperation.

"Poland and Slovenia agree about the importance of working together in the Berlin Process and the Three Seas Initiative," underscored Deputy Minister Szynkowski vel Sęk.

He went on to set out Poland's activities as part of this year's presidency of the Berlin Process, and outlined the programme of a meeting to be held in April which will bring together foreign ministers of the countries involved in this inititive. Another topic raised by Deputy Minister Szynkowski vel Sęk with his Slovenian interlocutor was the Western Balkans Summit to be hosted by Poznan this coming July. Deputy Minister Božič in turn discussed the state of preparations for the third Three Seas Inititive Summit, which will take place in Slovenia next June.
