Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski meets with Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Taras Kachka

Today in Warsaw, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski met with Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Taras Kachka. The meeting was also attended by the Chair of the Council for Cooperation with Ukraine Paweł Kowal.
The discussion focused on Ukraine’s current position and its needs in the light of Russia’s ongoing violent attacks. The Polish side declared its continued support for Ukraine in relation to the challenges posed by power and heating outages.
Additionally, the talks dealt with Kyiv’s progress on its path to the EU. The deputy prime ministers discussed the newest Enlargement Package, adopted last week by the European Commission. This report outlines Ukraine’s achievements under all chapters of the accession negotiations.
The interlocutors underlined that in order for Ukraine to stay the course of European integration, it needs to meet the EU standards on the transparency of public institutions and put a definite end to all forms of abuse within the state administration and beyond.
Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski and Chair Paweł Kowal reiterated that Poland and Polish companies are willing to engage in Ukraine’s reconstruction, which will be reflected through the Ukraine Recovery Conference Poland is to host in 2026.
The meeting was a testament to Poland’s unwavering support for Ukraine and the readiness to strengthen the partnership between the two countries.
