Foreign ministers from Europe and Asia (ASEM) meet in Madrid

On 15-16 December 2019, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz will take part in ASEM Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Madrid.

ASEM (Asia – Europe Meeting) is the process of cooperation between Europe and Asia that was launched in 1996 in Bangkok. It brings together 51 states and two international organizations and is the most important platform for cooperation between the two regions.

The Madrid meeting’s themes will be strengthening multilateralism and creating multidimensional and sustainable connectivity between Europe and Asia. Minister Czaputowicz will hold a speech on the Polish approach to ASEM’s role in enhancing Asia-Europe bond. At a session dedicated to regional problems, the Polish top diplomat will outline Poland’s involvement in the stabilization of the situation in the Middle East in the framework of the Warsaw Process.
