The meeting was held on 2 October. Separately, a broader discussion took place with representatives from the ministries of the Interior and Administration, Culture and National Heritage, Infrastructure, Energy, Climate and Environment, as well as Education. The interlocutors agreed that the arrangements adopted during the Polish–German intergovernmental consultations in Berlin on 1 December 2025 should be consistently implemented. They stressed the importance of joint measures to strengthen the security of NATO’s eastern flank and emphasised the urgency to improve Poland-bound transport links.

“We need road and rail connectivity that is fit for the 21st century. It is crucial for not only people-to-people contacts or economic cooperation, but also enhanced military mobility,” said Henryka Mościcka-Dendys, the Chair of the Council for Cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany.

Historical issues, including the commemoration of the Poles who perished during World War II and the restitution of the looted cultural goods, were also high on the agenda. The matter of teaching the Polish language in Germany was discussed as well.
