Supporting Armenia's EU aspirations, development of economic cooperation, and stabilisation in the South Caucasus were the main points discussed by the heads of diplomacy of Poland and Armenia. On 12 October, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski met in Warsaw with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan.
Minister Sikorski assured his interlocutor that Poland has consistently supported Armenia in the process of deepening its relations with the European Union. The head of Polish diplomacy declared readiness to share Polish experience in strengthening the competencies of public administration, including through training for Armenian institutions.
Economic cooperation was also an important item under discussion. Deputy Prime Minister Sikorski referred to the Armenia–Poland Business Forum, which took place in Yerevan in September this year and noted that this event demonstrated the growing interest of Polish entrepreneurs in the Armenian market.
He added that Poland also welcomes the progress in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as in the normalisation of relations between Armenia and Turkey.
