Meeting between top diplomats of Poland and Lithuania

Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski met today in Warsaw with Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs Kęstutis Budrys. The heads of diplomacies discussed fighting hybrid threats.
Foreign ministers of Poland and Lithuania talked about the current situation in the region. They agreed that, in the face of ever-growing challenges related to combating hybrid threats, even better coordinated cooperation is crucial, particularly among the countries on NATO's eastern flank.
The ministers stressed the importance of active regional policy. They exchanged views on effective protection of the EU’s and NATO’s eastern border and counteracting airspace violations.
The talks also covered possibilities of developing the cooperation between Warsaw and Vilnius, and the rights of the Polish national minority in Lithuania.
