MFA press release concerning terrorist attack on Bogota police academy

21.01.2019

MSZ

The Polish government strongly condemns the cruel act of terror that took place on the premises of the General Santander Police Academy and expresses its solidarity with the Colombian Nation. We would like to convey our sincerest condolences and deepest sympathy to the families of the victims and the injured.

Taking into consideration the evidence presented by the Colombian Government and the Attorney’s General Office, which points to the National Liberation Army (ELN) as the group responsible for last Thursday’s terrorist attack in Bogota, the Polish government calls on the ELN to stop terrorist actions and to immediately and unconditionally release all hostages.

Poland endorses the measures announced by President Duque in his address to the nation and expresses its full support for the Colombians in their efforts to achieve peace.
