MFA reiterates its call to avoid travel

30.11.2021

covid-19

The COVID-19 pandemic situation across the world remains difficult and fluid. This is also due to the fact that a new variant of the virus, named Omicron, has emerged. In recent days, numerous countries have suspended flights from selected areas, shut down air traffic altogether, or have introduced additional restrictions in the daily functioning.

For this reason, the MFA’s call to avoid travel remains valid.

Please remember that the latest updates and restrictions are often released overnight and may also be changed during your stay abroad. If you are considering travelling abroad, remember that you may have problems returning home, e.g. cancelled flights, additional costs due to changes in the date and route of the return flight, and the requirement to undergo tests or quarantine.

Where to find the latest and reliable information?

  • For information on the epidemiological situation across the world go to the travel advice section (Informacje dla Podróżujących) on the MFA website.
  • The same information is also available on our Pole abroad mobile application (Polak za granicą).
  • The most important announcements regarding changes in restrictions are published on a daily basis on our Twitter profile @PolakZaGranica.
  • Detailed information on the country you are planning to visit can also be found on the website and social media of the relevant Polish diplomatic mission (placówki RP).
  • Information on quarantine rules and tests for persons entering the territory of Poland is available on the websites of the Polish Border Guard (Straż Graniczna) and the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM).
