MFA statement on Gaza-bound flotilla incident

24.09.2025

Polish nationals participating in the Global Sumud Flotilla are currently in Greece, safe and sound. Their Flotilla vessel is under repair. We suggest that those involved in the incident reach out directly to Polish consular services which can provide them with assistance on the ground.

Statement

We have been in contact with our partners in regard to the Global Sumud Flotilla incident. We have received information from the Greek services about the course of events. The Polish Embassy in Tel Aviv is coordinating cooperation with the diplomatic missions of the voyage participants’ countries of origin. The Embassy has maintained working contact with Israel’s incident response team.

We are monitoring the developments, which will determine our further action. The MFA will soon invite a representative of the Israeli Embassy to Poland to convey to them that Poland is concerned about its nationals travelling with the Flotilla.

As a reminder, the MFA has advised against visiting war zones. Polish consular services are unable to assist our nationals under all circumstances.
