MFA STATEMENT

11.10.2023

A draft regulation amending the regulation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs on the establishment of voting districts in the 2023 parliamentary elections for Polish nationals abroad has been published at www.legislacja.gov.pl. The draft stipulates the liquidation of the voting district in Tel Aviv.

MFA Statement

Out of concern for our fellow citizens, bearing in mind that Israel is in a state of war and having regard to the consequences of the existing threats as well as the limitations put on the right to assemble in the territory of the State of Israel, the ensuing risks had to be recognised and addressed accordingly. Let us note that both the safety of Polish citizens and undisturbed voting process remain a priority for the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Until 12 October, the voters included in the electoral register in voting district no. 125 in Tel Aviv can apply for a voting location change in order to be able to cast their votes in the country. For more information please visit https://www.gov.pl/web/gov/zmien-miejsce-glosowania

It is also possible until 12 October to apply for a voting right certificate that authorises its holder to vote in any voting district, whether in Poland or abroad. For more information on the procedure to receive voting right certificates please visit https://www.gov.pl/web/gov/uzyskaj-zaswiadczenie-i-glosuj-tam-gdzie-bedziesz-w-dniu-wyborow
