Israel’s Ambassador to Warsaw was summoned to the Ministry on account of that decision. The Polish side conveyed a critical assessment of the measures taken to date to clarify the cause and course of the tragic events, communicated that a parallel investigation into the matter has been carried out by the Przemyśl Regional Public Prosecution Service, and expressed expectation that the Israeli side would provide relevant Polish authorities with all the necessary explanations and materials requested by Polish investigators.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs considers that the circumstances of the 2024 tragedy should be explained in their entirety, and it does not accept avoidance of legal and moral responsibility by the perpetrators. The families deserve adequate compensation.
