The interlocutors discussed bilateral political, trade, scientific and education relations, as well as cooperation in international organisations. This year, both Poland and Indonesia hold non-permanent seats on the UN Security Council.

Minister Jacek Czaputowicz underscored the high level of intensity of bilateral contacts in recent years, recalling his visit to Jakarta last November. He also expressed satisfaction with the growing number of Indonesian students attending Polish universities.

Preparations for the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Poland and Indonesia as well as the 4th edition of the Polish-Indonesian Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue, both to take place next year, were important points discussed during the meeting. Minister Jacek Czaputowicz also raised the issue of a Polish citizen, Jakub Skrzypski, who has been jailed in Indonesia.

This was the first meeting between Minister Jacek Czaputowicz and Siti Nugraha Mauludiah after she assumed her post as Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Poland.
