Minister Jacek Czaputowicz to attend Munich Security Conference

On 15-16 February 2020, the head of Polish diplomacy will take part in the 56th Munich Security Conference. The main theme of this year’s conference will be the role of the West in contemporary international relations in the face of the rivalry among world powers and unresolved regional conflicts.

The conference will focus on the challenges to the European project, development of defence cooperation, and the liberal international order. The participants will also discuss issues related to regional security – the conflict in Libya, as well as the security situation in the Gulf region and East Asia. Other important topics will include contemporary ecological, economic and technological challenges and threats to international security.

During the Munich conference, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz will take part in a panel discussion on the EU and the European project. On the sidelines of the conference, the chief Polish diplomat will also hold a number of bilateral talks.

A day before his visit to Germany, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz will also travel to Liechtenstein to meet with Hereditary Prince Alois, Minister of Foreign Affairs Katrin Eggenberger, and Polish Honorary Consul in Liechtenstein Stefan Wolf.
