During this year’s Business Forum of the Three Seas Initiative, talks will focus on such topics as energy, innovation, digitisation, and infrastructure. They will be attended by representatives of the private and government sectors of the Initiative’s countries as well as representatives of EU states and the US. Representatives of European institutions, international financial institutions, think-tanks, and academia will also be present.

The Three Seas Initiative has been set up as a cooperation forum for 12 countries — Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Its goal is to strengthen links in the wider Central Europe region (between the Baltic, Adriatic, and Black Seas) and thus provide a sustainable basis for growth in energy, transport, digital communication, and the economy. Comprising almost one third of the EU’s total surface, countries belonging to the Three Seas Initiative have a population of over 112 million. The region is experiencing a stable economic growth and a low unemployment rate.
