Friday, 14 February saw the inauguration of the annual Munich Security Conference in Germany. The event will centre on Russian invasion of Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East.

The head of Polish diplomacy will be participating in a number of debates, including a discussion panel entitled “Thinking Transatlantic Relations Anew: Mapping the New European Security Architecture & Russia Strategy”. During the conference, Minister Sikorski will also hold several bilateral meetings and backstage talks. This year’s event will bring together a few dozen heads of state and government, ministers, as well as representatives of the most prominent international organisations and institutions, such as the UN, NATO and the EU.

The Munich Security Conference is the world’s leading forum for debating international security policy. It is also the birthplace of many diplomatic initiatives seeking to resolve the most pressing global security issues.
