Poland’s top diplomat emphasised that Vladimir Putin’s Russian Federation poses a threat to the democratic world. He said that Russian imperialism must be defeated in Ukraine, otherwise it will be only encouraged in its use of force.

Minister Sikorski stressed that, given the Russian economy’s shift to a war mode, the North Atlantic Alliance and the European Union must take action to overcome Russia’s current advantage in ammunition production. He also pointed to the need to further strengthen and tighten sanctions against Russia and Belarus.

The Polish Foreign Minister assured his guests that Poland, aware of its growing political, military and economic standing, is ready to take greater responsibility for defending Western values.
