Minister Radosław Sikorski’s phone call with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio

On the initiative of the US side, a phone conversation was held today between United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Minister Radosław Sikorski. The heads of diplomacy spoke about the most recent updates on the state of peace negotiations to end Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. The American side shared its views on the prospects for the talks.

Minister Sikorski and Secretary Rubio discussed exerting continuous pressure on Russia and supporting Ukraine in its fight. They also talked about the European Union member states’ efforts to boost their defence capabilities. Moreover, top diplomats exchanged views on their assessment of the security situation at the Polish–Belarusian border, including the migration crisis orchestrated by Russia with the participation of Belarus.
