Minister Rau to visit Istanbul

On 26 May, Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau will fly to Istanbul for talks with his Romanian and Turkish counterparts in the Trilogue format on the following day.

The heads of diplomacy will be discussing the implications of the security crisis in Europe caused by the Russian aggression against Ukraine, including further plans for political, military and economic support for Ukraine. Also raised will be NATO expansion in the context of Sweden’s and Finland’s accession aspirations, along with prospects for extending cooperation under the Trilogue.  

On the sidelines of the visit, Minister Rau will also hold bilateral Polish-Turkish and Polish-Romanian consultations.
