In his remarks, Minister Rau declared his determination to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and constantly look for new areas of its development. “In our bilateral relations with the Middle East and North Africa countries we want to focus on strengthening our ties and searching for new areas of cooperation, including business relations. Positive past experiences provide a firm foundation to revive the presence of Polish companies and entrepreneurs,” underlined the MFA head. He also mentioned historical and cultural links between Poland and the Arab world, and recalled Polish COVID-19-related help to the countries of the region. Concluding the meeting, Minister Rau extended his wishes to the Arab diplomatic corps and noted the need for freedom, security, prosperity and peace in the Middle East and North Africa.

Held in the form of a videoconference, the meeting was attended by 15 ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions of Arab states accredited to Poland, who joined from Warsaw and Berlin. Previous meeting in this format was held in April 2018.
