On 20 February 2023, Minister Rau will take part in a Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) meeting in Brussels. The heads of EU diplomacies will mainly discuss Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. The ministers will also talk about the situation in Afghanistan as well as energy and climate diplomacy.

The meeting’s agenda also includes an informal lunch with Moldova’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Nicolae Popescu.

On the margins of the Foreign Affairs Council session, the officials will meet with Russian oppositionist Garry Kasparov.
