The call took place in the light of Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified attack on Ukraine and with regard to tomorrow’s B9 and NATO summits.

Minister Zbigniew Rau’s call with Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly

Minister Rau, also in his capacity as the Chairman-in-Office of the OSCE, and Minister Joly strongly condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as a blatant violation of international law, the UN Charter, and the principles and commitments of the OSCE. The two ministers pledged to carry on with consultations and called on Russia to cease its military action against Ukraine immediately.
