The "Poland-ASEAN Dialogue. Community of interests and secure development” conference was held in the Sejm today. It is one of the key events for Poland's diplomatic cooperation with Asia-Pacific countries. In his opening speech, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski emphasised the growing importance of the relations between Poland, the EU, and ASEAN in the face of global security and economic challenges.

Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski received ambassadors of Arab countries accredited to Poland. The meeting addressed the current situation in the Middle East.

Poland's top diplomat and Director Maria Telalian of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) signed an agreement on the financing of the ODIHR premises for 2026-2033.

Russia's aggression against Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East, EU's relations with its southern neighbours, and the work on a new European Security Strategy were the main topics of the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) meeting held in Brussels, attended by Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski. During a working lunch, EU foreign ministers met with India's head of diplomacy Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

During their meeting in Warsaw on 13 March 2026, Secretary of State Ignacy Niemczycki and Minister of State for European Affairs of the Republic of Ireland Thomas Byrne talked about development of the European Democracy Shield, simplification agenda, and the priorities of Ireland's presidency of the EU Council.

Swearing-in ceremony of the Republic of Chile's President José Antonio Kast and the presentation of Ignacy Domeyko's descendants with the Bene Merito honorary award were the highlights of Deputy Minister Wojciech Zajączkowski's visit to Chile. In Santiago, the deputy foreign minister also met with the representatives of the Chilean government.

Talks between Undersecretary of State Wojciech Zajączkowski and Paraguay's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Víctor Alfredo Verdún Bitar centred on countering disinformation, collaborating with the US, and developing bilateral relations. During his visit to Asunción, deputy chief of the Polish MFA also met with the Paraguayan Minister of Information and Communication Technologies and Minister of the Interior.

The security of Polish citizens in the Middle East and the political and economic effects of the conflict in the Persian Gulf were the main topics of a phone conversation between the heads of diplomacy of Poland and the Kingdom of Bahrain - Radosław Sikorski and Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. In the recent days, Deputy Prime Minister Sikorski has conducted a series of phone consultations with ministers of foreign affairs from Middle East countries. He had previously conversed with his counterparts from: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates.

On 7 March, Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski and Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan met in Warsaw to talk about their assessment of the consequences of the latest events in the Middle East for Poland and the United Arab Emirates.
