22.04.2022Minister Rau to visit IndiaOn 25-27 April, Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau will visit India. This will be the first visit of a Polish foreign minister to India in nine years. It comes during Poland’s OSCE chairmanship, with the main purpose to take part in the Raisina Dialogue international conference on 25-26 April.

22.04.2022Minister Zbigniew Rau takes part in third round of Polish-Slovak intergovernmental consultationsOn 22 April, Minister Zbigniew Rau took part in the third round of Polish-Slovak intergovernmental consultations, speaking with Slovakia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Ivan Korčok. Led by PM Mateusz Morawiecki and PM Eduard Heger, the consultations also included meetings of the ministers for climate, economy, the interior, transport, regional policy, agriculture, and family and social policy. A Joint Declaration was signed to condemn Russia’s unprecedented attack on Ukraine and provide a roadmap for cooperation between Poland and Slovakia in the coming months.

The talks focused on Russian invasion of Ukraine and its consequences as well as on sanctions against Russia.

20.04.2022Polish-Czech consultations of deputy foreign affairs and national defence ministersOn 20 April, invited by the Czech side, Undersecretary of State Marcin Przydacz joined Secretary of State Marcin Ociepa of the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Poland to take part in deputy ministerial level consultations in Prague. The Czech delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Povejšil and Deputy Minster for Defence Policy and Strategy Jan Havránek of the Czech Ministry of Defence. The participants were received at the seat of the Czech Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Czernin Palace, by the country’s top diplomat, Jan Lipavský.
