03.03.2022Russian Federation suspended from work of Council of the Baltic Sea StatesDue to the aggression against independent Ukraine by the Russian Federation, a member of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS), the foreign ministers of Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland and Sweden and the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy – that is, all members of the Council except Russia – adopted a declaration on suspending it from the work of the organization on all levels, and suspend Belarus as a CBSS observer state.
