On March 5, 2022, Minister Zbigniew Rau met the members of the Contact Group for the Crisis in Ukraine established in the frameworks of the League of Arab States, after their visit to Moscow.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Zbigniew Rau held bilateral consultations in Warsaw with UK’s Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs Liz Truss. The talks mainly covered Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, including its humanitarian consequences and implications for the security in Central and Eastern Europe and the whole Alliance. The officials reiterated the unity of the transatlantic community in the face of Russian aggression and stressed their support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“We appreciate the unique nature and timing of this visit. You came to Warsaw at a very difficult moment for European and international security, at the time of Russia’s open and completely unjustified aggression against independent Ukraine,” stressed the head of the Polish MFA during a meeting with his Japanese counterpart Yoshimasa Hayashi.

At the initiative of Arkady Rzegocki, Government Plenipotentiary for war refugees from Ukraine Paweł Szefernaker held a meeting with provincial governors and the diplomatic corps in the Prime Minister’s Office on Monday, 4 April.

In his capacity as the Chairman of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Minister Zbigniew Rau opened the most prominent annual event devoted to the prevention of and fighting against trafficking in human beings on OSCE’s territory.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Chairman-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe in 2022, paid an official visit to Yerevan. Armenia was the last stop on his three-day tour of the South Caucasus.
