At the initiative of Arkady Rzegocki, Government Plenipotentiary for war refugees from Ukraine Paweł Szefernaker held a meeting with provincial governors and the diplomatic corps in the Prime Minister’s Office on Monday, 4 April.

In his capacity as the Chairman of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Minister Zbigniew Rau opened the most prominent annual event devoted to the prevention of and fighting against trafficking in human beings on OSCE’s territory.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Chairman-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe in 2022, paid an official visit to Yerevan. Armenia was the last stop on his three-day tour of the South Caucasus.

On 31 March and 1 April, Deputy Foreign Minister Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk visited Paris, where he met with Emmanuel Bonne, top diplomatic adviser to President Emmanuel Macron, Secretary of State for European Affairs Clément Beaune, as well as Presidents of the European Affairs Committees of the National Assembly and the Senate of the French Republic Sabine Thillaye and Jean-François Rapin respectively.

On Thursday, 31 March 2022, Minister Zbigniew Rau, acting in his capacity as the Chairman-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, paid an official visit to Azerbaijan.

On 31 March, Deputy Minister Paweł Jabłoński participated – in place of Minister Zbigniew Rau – in a meeting of the Bucharest Nine top diplomats. Hosted by Slovakia, this year’s meeting was also attended by high-ranking representatives of the US Department of State and NATO Headquarters. Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba took part in the event as well, via videoconferencing.

On 29-31 March, Poland’s deputy foreign minister visited Turkey, meeting in Ankara with his Turkish counterpart, representatives of the Presidential Security and Foreign Policy Committee, and an adviser to the president of Turkey. Next, the deputy minister paid a visit to a combat drone manufacturer’s facilities in Istanbul.

Today, Poland’s Foreign Minister concluded his official trip to Georgia, which he visited in his capacity as the Chairman-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.

On 30 March 2022, Deputy Minister Paweł Jabłoński held a meeting with Italy’s Minister for European Affairs Vincenzo Amendola. The meeting focused on possible areas of cooperation between Poland and Italy to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine and actions to be taken by the whole EU to stop Russian aggression.
