The Three Seas Initiative, its foundations and goals, as well as its significance for the development of transport, energy and digital infrastructure in Central and Eastern Europe were the key issues addressed by the MFA Undersecretary of State Paweł Jabłoński during today’s seminar on the cooperation of the Visegrad Group countries and Japan in the field of connectivity. The meeting was hosted by Poland’s Embassy in Tokyo, in cooperation with the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Josai University. It is a cyclical event organised each time by the state currently presiding over the V4.

This year, Poland and Romania celebrate the centenary of the conclusion of the “Convention on Defensive Alliance between the Republic of Poland and the Kingdom of Romania.”

“For over seventy years, Poland and Vietnam have enjoyed a friendly and multifaceted relationship, and it is exceptionally good at present. I hope cooperation between our two countries will continue to develop vigorously, which will be evidenced by successive high-level visits,” emphasised Minister Zbigniew Rau during a phone call on Tuesday.

The key issue addressed during the EU foreign ministers’ videoconference on Monday was the situation in Ukraine and Ethiopia. Besides the discussion within the group, the ministers also talked with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. Among other current affairs, discussed were the developments in Myanmar, Mozambique, Georgia, Russia and Belarus.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland welcomes the publication of the second report of the OPCW Investigation and Identification Team (IIT).

– Today Poland is once again fulfilling its obligation towards those affected by a humanitarian crisis – we are sharing what we can with a country facing problems in the aftermath of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. In response to the Armenian government’s call for humanitarian assistance, we are providing the civilian population affected by armed conflict with urgent material aid: bedding, blankets, towels, digital thermometers, disinfectant liquid, and manometers – said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Paweł Jabłoński on an airlift of humanitarian aid dispatched to Yerevan on 15 April 2021 at Kraków Airport.
