Today, on behalf of the Polish President, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz has presented Jakub Kumoch with his nomination to the position of Polish Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkey.

“Sudan is one of Poland’s key partners in Africa, and our bilateral relations have flourished in recent years. We applaud the process of significant peaceful transition in Sudan that was launched in 2019,” Deputy Foreign Minister Maciej Lang said during today’s meeting with his Sudanese counterpart, State Minister in Sudan’s foreign office, Omer G. On 27 February 2020, the chief of Polish diplomacy will pay a visit to Prague.

“As international tensions continue, our goal should be to maintain and preferably strengthen the mechanisms of multilateral cooperation. The United Nations system provides optimal conditions to achieve this goal,” said the minister of foreign affairs on the first day of his visit to Geneva.

“Poland has for years brought to the attention of international organisations the need for close cooperation to ensure freedom of religion or belief and respect for the rights of religious minorities,” said Minister Czaputowicz, speaking at the High Level Segment that opened the 43rd session of the Human Rights Council at the UN’s European headquarters in Geneva.
