Minister Radosław Sikorski paid an official visit to Egypt, where he held consultations with the Arab Republic of Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty.

The Warsaw Forum on EU–Indo-Pacific Cooperation, a two-day conference hosted by the University of Warsaw under the patronage of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU, just came to a close today. The event was co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The chief of Polish diplomacy presided over the Fourth EU–Albania Intergovernmental Conference, organised within the framework of the country’s accession talks to join the European Union. The meeting saw the opening of accession talks with Albania on Cluster 2: Internal market.

Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East, EU–Africa relations, and the Western Balkans were the main points of a Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) meeting in Luxembourg on Monday. The session was chaired by High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas. The EU heads of diplomacy also met with foreign ministers of the Western Balkan countries.

Representatives of Poland, Sweden and Switzerland – Member States of the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission (NNSC) in Korea – met in Stockholm on 8-9 April 2025 for their annual political consultations.

On Friday, Minister Radosław Sikorski handed out nominations to the members of the Minister of Foreign Affairs’ Best History Book Prize Committee. The contest aims to honour the authors of the best foreign-language books devoted to Polish history and the best Polish-language books on the history of Polish diplomacy.

On 10 and 11 April, an informal meeting of the RELEX and RELEX/Sanctions working party was held in Warsaw. It was organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of Poland’s Presidency of the EU Council.

Today in Chișinău, Undersecretary of State Marek Prawda held political consultations with his counterpart—Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Carolina Perebinos.

Deputy Minister Anna Radwan-Röhrenschef met today with Tanzania’s Minister for Finance Mwigulu Nchemba to discuss Poland–Tanzania relations and highlight their positive momentum.

The foreign ministers of NATO members met in Brussels for talks on the impact of Russia’s war against Ukraine on the security of Poland and the North Atlantic Alliance as well as preparations for this year’s NATO summit in The Hague.
