“Real progress in addressing Europe’s security challenges is only possible if all countries return to respecting the fundamental principles of international law,” Deputy Minister Marcin Przydacz emphasised at an OSCE ministerial meeting in Vysoke Tatry, Slovakia.

On 11 and 12 July, Minister Czaputowicz will pay a visit to Georgia and Moldova. In Batumi, he will participate in the 16th edition of the conference “Georgia’s European Ways,” which this year will be dedicated entirely to the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership. In Chisinau, he will meet with representatives of Moldovan authorities and Parliament.

“People to people contacts have always been the bedrock of our good relations. Many graduates of Polish universities live in Mongolia. Today they play the role of ambassadors of Poland of whom we can be proud,” stressed the deputy minister of foreign affairs during consultations with his Mongolian counterpart, Batmunkh Battsetseg.

“We enjoy very good cooperation with Luxemburg on both bilateral and multilateral level,” said Minister Jacek Czaputowicz during today’s visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean Asselborn to Warsaw.

On 6 July, the UNESCO World Heritage Committee during its 43th session in Baku, Azerbaijan, decided to add the Krzemionki Prehistoric Striped Flint Mining Region to the World Heritage List. It is Poland’s 16th site inscribed on the World Heritage List.

"The year 2019 marks 70 years since Poland, as one of the first countries in the world, established diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China,” recalled Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz during a visit of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Poland. The two ministers co-chaired the second meeting of Poland-China Intergovernmental Committee.

On 5 July 2019, Poland welcomed the Heads of Government of the Berlin Process participants, as well as representatives of the European Institutions, International Financial Institutions, OECD, the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), and the Regional Youth Cooperation Office.

“Political consultations in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan confirmed the good status of bilateral relations with these countries. The economy is a particularly promising area,” stressed the deputy chief of Polish diplomacy after the visit to Tashkent and Ashgabat.

On 5 July, the Western Balkans Summit ended in Poznan, marking the highlight of the Polish presidency of the Berlin Process in 2019. Initiated by Germany, the Berlin Process is aimed at bringing together the Western Balkans partners and some of the European Union Member States.

“Poland supports the future accession of the Western Balkans countries to the European Union. Without their presence in the EU we cannot say that this project is complete,” said Minister Czaputowicz summing up the foreign ministers’ meeting at the Summit.
