“The activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also include cooperation with Polish Radio for Abroad, whose mission is to shape opinions about Poland beyond its borders,” said Deputy Minister Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk at the signing ceremony of an agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Polskie Radio S.A, represented by the President of the Management Board Andrzej Rogoyski.

“Our membership of the UN Security Council has three top priorities: firstly, to strengthen international law; secondly, to promote the protection of civilians in armed conflicts; thirdly, to support a peaceful resolution of conflicts,” said the chief of Polish diplomacy in New York at a high-level Security Council briefing devoted to international humanitarian law.

From 1 to 4 April 2019, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz will be visiting the United States. He will take part in UN Security Council briefings and in ceremonies marking NATO’s 70th anniversary.

“The upcoming meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Washington DC will provide an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the North Atlantic Alliance on its 70th anniversary,” said the deputy Polish foreign minister at the opening session of a meeting in Palanga dedicated to security.

“If the United Kingdom rejects the Withdrawal Agreement for the third time, Poland will take a constructive approach to a possible request for further extension. However, it must be the UK’s decision and the request should have appropriate political grounds,” the Polish deputy foreign minister said today during his meeting with the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier.

“Poland will continue to support efforts to secure peace on the Korean Peninsula, also in the framework of international organisations,” declared the deputy chief of Polish diplomacy during his meeting with South Korean Vice Minister of Unification Chun Hae-Sung.

Zbigniew Andrzej Judycki, a dedicated social activist and the author of many projects related to the Polish community abroad, received today the Bene Merito honorary distinction from Deputy Foreign Minister Piotr Wawrzyk. The ceremony took place at the MFA headquarters.

“We are happy that the Polish-Japanese relations are so multifaceted and we look forward to further developing them in the Jubilee Year 2019,” said the deputy chief of Polish diplomacy Maciej Lang during his meeting with Senior Deputy Foreign Minister Takeo Mori of Japan.

“Poland is devoted to holding continuous, active dialogue and cooperation with the Council of Europe, in order to strengthen its efficiency, authority and respect among all the member states,” Minister Czaputowicz said after his meeting with Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland.
