Today, Minister Radosław Sikorski met with Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu. The meeting was an opportunity to discuss bilateral issues, economic relations, and prospects for cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union. The consultations included the signing of a programme of cooperation between the foreign ministries for 2025-2027.

The Foreign Economic Policy Advisory Board met on 22 May with Minister Radosław Sikorski in the chair and Deputy Foreign Minister Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski and Minister of State Assets Jakub Jaworowski among the participants.

It has been with concern that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has received information from the Polish Embassy in Moscow about the devastation of a Polish monument at the War Cemetery in Miednoje. We strongly demand that the Russian side restore the cemetery to its original condition immediately.

Minister Radosław Sikorski has participated in today's ministerial meeting of the European Union and African Union member states devoted to a new framework for cooperation between the two organisations. The head of Polish diplomacy co-chaired the meeting, acting for High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.

The fourth edition of the European Humanitarian Forum was held in Brussels on 19-20 May 2025. The event was jointly hosted by Poland, currently holding the Presidency of the EU Council, and the European Commission.

The meeting focused on Russia's continuing aggression against Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East, including Syria.

Minister Radosław Sikorski put forward the Polish position regarding the need to strengthen the cooperation among the members of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) in the broadly understood field of security. He also presented the priorities of the incoming one-year Polish Presidency of the CBSS, starting on 1 July 2025. The Ministerial Session was held in Tallinn and Vihula on 15-16 May.

During their meeting, NATO countries' top diplomats focused on the preparations for the summit of NATO heads of state and government scheduled to take place in The Hauge this June. The talks were held in Antalya on 14-15 May 2025.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the informal summit of NATO foreign ministers held in Antalya, Türkiye.

MFA Undersecretary of State Robert Kupiecki headed the Polish delegation to the annual session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, taking place in Luxembourg on 13-14 May 2025.
