Observed on 10 December, Human Rights Day falls on the anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the UN General Assembly – the key document setting international standards of human rights protection.

Minister Radosław Sikorski hosted US Secretary of State Antony Blinken at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the Secretary’s way back from Ukraine.

On 12 May, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organised a meeting on the role of the international humanitarian law in contemporary military conflicts. The talks took place between representatives of the Prime Minister, ministries, and central agencies, the Polish Red Cross, the Polish Institute of International Affairs, and the International Humanitarian Fact-Finding Commission.
