Today’s talks between Deputy Foreign Minister Marek Prawda and his Ukrainian counterpart Yevhen Perebyinis focused on military cooperation, support for Ukraine in its EU accession process, and Poland’s involvement in the reconstruction of Ukraine.

On 27 March, the head of Polish diplomacy met with Latvia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Krišjānis Kariņš and President Edgars Rinkēvičs.

The most important topics on the agenda of today’s meeting included aid to the cultural and education sectors in Ukraine in the context of the Russian aggression, safety of journalists, and Poland’s initiatives underway at UNESCO.

Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski met today with representatives of the diplomatic corps of the Asia-Pacific countries accredited to Poland.

Minister Sikorski briefed the NATO Secretary General on the details of the violation of Poland’s airspace by a Russian cruise missile on 24 March and the procedures activated in this context.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again joined the celebrations of Belarus Freedom Day (Belarusian: „Дзень Волі”). Unrecognised by the Minsk regime, the holiday is celebrated by independent Belarusians to mark the anniversary of the proclamation of the Belarusian Democratic Republic on 25 March 1918.

Poland will demand explanations from the Russian Federation regarding another violation of our country’s national airspace.

Undersecretary of State Marek Prawda spoke today with Martin Schulz, President of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and former President of the European Parliament, and with a delegation of MEPs from the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). The discussion focused on the state of Polish-German relations, possibilities of supporting Ukraine, and current EU agenda.

During the meeting, the foreign ministers of Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary discussed issues related Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the current situation in the Middle East, and prospects for further enlargement of the European Union.

Today's talks between Undersecretary of State Marek Prawda, EU envoys and ambassadors for the Eastern Partnership, and the Special Envoy of the European External Action Service for the Eastern Partnership covered further measures within the Eastern Partnership as well as opening the possibility of closer cooperation with Belarusian democratic actors.
