Nominations of Polish ambassadors to Argentina, Mongolia and Iran

On behalf of the President of the Republic of Poland, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz handed nominations to new Polish ambassadors today. Aleksandra Piątkowska will represent Poland in Buenos Aires, Krzysztof Bojko in Ulaanbaatar, and Maciej Fałkowski will be posted to Teheran.

Aleksandra Piątkowska – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Argentina

Aleksandra Piątkowska graduated from the University of Warsaw where she majored in international relations. She joined the MFA in 1993 and worked in the Department of European Institutions. In 1996-98, she was II Secretary at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Poland to the United Nations in New York. In 2002-2006, she worked in the MFA’s Security Policy Department. In 2006-2007, she was Deputy Director and then Director of the Information System Department. In 2007-2012, she was Director of the Department of Public and Cultural Diplomacy. In 2012-2017, she was Poland’s Ambassador to Chile. In 2017, she was appointed Director of the MFA’s Department of Development Cooperation.

Krzysztof Bojko – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Mongolia

Krzysztof Bojko graduated from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow where he majored in history. In 1999, he received the degree of doctor of liberal studies in history from the Jagiellonian University, and in 2007, the degree of doctor habilitated in political sciences from this university. In 2017, he became associate professor of the War Studies University (Akademia Sztuki Wojennej). In 1998, he joined the MFA, working in the Department of Africa, Asia, Australia and Oceania and later worked in the Department of Africa and the Middle East. In 2000-2005, he was posted as I Secretary at the Polish Embassy in Tel Aviv. After this posting, he resumed work in the MFA’s Department of Africa and the Middle East. In 2009, he was appointed chargé d’affaires, and later (2012-2016) Poland’s Ambassador to Jordan. In 2016 – 2018, he worked in the MFA’s Department of Africa and the Middle East, and from 2018 in the MFA’s Asia-Pacific Department.

Maciej Fałkowski – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Islamic Republic of Iran

Maciej Fałkowski graduated from the Law Department of the Catholic University of Lublin. He also completed ADR studies at the University of Toronto and Executive MBA studies at the Warsaw University of Technology Business School. He joined the MFA in1998 as a diplomatic and consular trainee. In  2000-2002, he worked in the Export Policy Department, and later (2002-2003) in the Security Policy Department. In 2003-2007, he was Vice-Consul at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Toronto. In 2007, he was head of section in the Security Policy Department, and Deputy Director of the Asia-Pacific Department (2013-2014). In 2015, he was appointed Deputy Director and later Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation.
